The Revere Lady Minutemen beat Copley by a score of 16-7. In a scheduling quirk, the game was Copley’s home game, but played at Revere’s field.
In their last game on their home field, Seniors Cheyenne Bondra and Kaila Sense had a great game to end their careers. Sense was 2-3 with 2 singles, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI. Bondra, had a great night at the plate, going 3-4 with 3 singles, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.
Also helping the Revere offense was JR P Kaitlyn Hagarty with 3 singles and an RBI, JR. SS Allie Staats who had a single, double 3 runs scored and 2 RBI’s. The big blast of the game came from JR CF Emily Azzolina who was 2-4 with a double, home run, 4 runs scored 3 RBI’s and 2 stolen bases.
With the win, Revere ends the season with a SLA record of 8 wins, 4 losses, good enough for second place for the 2017 season. Overall, Revere stands at 15-7. They play Friday at 5:00 at Firestone Stadium in the OHSAA State Tournament at 5:00 against Woodridge.
